Dynamics SL 7.0 Voucher/Adjustment Transaction Import

Posted on by 65

I'm sure I'm missing something small but I can't put my finger on it. I am attempting to import a small transaction using an Intelligent control macro for screen 030100 but the import errors with:

'System Message 9: Item not found, please reenter.

'System Message 8002: Error In Field: cacct Value:

I am using SL verion 7.02.21010.00, SLDEMOSYSTEM, Company 00100, and the following import file contents:

"Batch","",199912,B,1919.98
"Document","",VO,VT0125,12/11/99,1,"",12/11/99,"",2919.98,38.40,A,"","","",12/12/99,12/21/99,12/11/99
"Transaction","",N,4030,"","",01100AA00001,"","","","",2919.98

If I manually enter these values into Voucher/Adjustment Entry, I have no problem saving the transaction. Would someone please tell me what I'm missing?

ok, just delete one of the commas.  (did you leave the one in for company?  if you don't have multicompany turned on, you don't need it.)

Interesting. Removing the clinetype value did allow the file to import without error however the fields imported are out of sequence. The Main account was imported into the Subacct field, the sub account was imported into the UOM field, and so on.

I hadn't considered it actually. We have been working with this format for many releases of Solomon/SL and I would rather not have to change the file format if I don't have to. I will definitely give it a try though. Thanks!

Do you really need to *change* the linetype from the default?  If you leave that null it might work.  Those dropdown values can be tricky.

    Hello!
I did try this and it results in the clinetype value then being invalid.

    Hi,

Does it make any difference if you use company "00100" instead of the blank company at the beginning of your transaction line?
