How to make a field not required?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I'm adding a new Field to a Form. It's a simple drop down with Yes or No, but by mistake I made the Field Required and then published it. I can't seem to find how to go back and edit this to make it unrequired. Any time I try to delete the Feild and start over, the system informs me (correctly) that the Field is required by the business. So, how do I either A) edit this field to no longer make it required or B) delete this field to start over and make a new field?

I found that an option to create a new field in the Web UI. Is a simple field, only can insert data as a remark and not showing in the data entity in system administration. Is there a way to import data using excel to the created new field?

Where and how did you add the field? In Talent it is not possible to customize and add fields.

You can go to customization > customize the system > entities > select and open the field and make it optional. Than save and publish.

    That should do it.
