Changing End Date on started production order

Hello,

I have a production order in "started" status that I won't be able to finish in time due to an unplanned raw material shortage. What is the recommend way to "delay" this order and thus push out the End Date on the order while maintaining the original start date? Our sales order allocation system keys off of the production order end date, which is why having an accurate date is important.

Current state:

Status: Started

Start date: 11/23/2015

End date: 11/30/2015

Desired state:

Status: Started

Start date: 11/23/2015

End date: 12/15/2015

    That second section should be labeled "Desired state"

    Hi TomM

    What you could potentially do is in the works order > General Fast tab > Production Section there should be a delivery date. You can manually change the delivery date to 12/15/2015 and then Schedule Backwards from the Delivery date to reschedule the remaining operations.
