Error installing Report Authoring Extension

I'm on a windows 10 machine trying to install the extension for visual studio 2012 to connect to CRM Online.

I have BIDS installed already.

I'm getting an error trying to install the extension:

Can anyone point out where I'm going wrong?

    I think you may have the older version of BIDS (2010).  Check on this technet link to make sure you have the correct version for the VS2012 SSDT:

    You're not doing anything wrong. This appears an issue. Been trying to install the report authoring extensions for several days. it appears that with the installer, there's an issue when you tell the installer to install the windows live id sign-in assistant.

    Can you please check Windows Identity Foundation is already enabled or not ?

    Yes it is enabled. Have Win 10 Pro, VS 2012 Ultimate, ssdt-bi, developers toolkit. Was able to install the online services sign-in assistant.

    Hi Guys,

    Getting the same problem installing authoring extensions on Windows 10 with BIDS 2012.

    Anybody got a solution?

    Seems to be related to the sign-in assistant - it does not seem to recognise it is installed.

    I tried compatabily options but no luck.

    I'm having this issue too, with it failing the environment checks for something but I know I have all of the requirements met.  Every time I run the SetupBIDSExtensions it says it needs to install the sign-in assistant, which completes each time.

    Has anyone found a fix?

    I have uninstall sign-in assistant and install it back and able to install BIDS

    I'm having the same problem.  The installer says that the Windows Live ID Sign in Assistant is missing so the installer installs it for me, but then it still says it is not installed.  I tried installing the Windows Live ID Sign in Assistant manually, but that does not work either.  I am using Visual Studio 2015 on Windows 10.  Has anybody found a fix for this?
