Yea that would definitely be an issue.
thanks. i think my problem is that i have different domains for the server and the client.
I run it on a couple of my clients. The only thing I would warn you about however, is that if you are using it on your personal machine, it will utilize your personal machine's resources until it the integration is complete. Not a huge deal, but I like running it on a server just so I don't tie up my computer.
You can run IM on a client, as long as it is installed there.
