Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with users not being able to access attachments posted by other users on the timeline. The error message they encounter is as follows:

The error message indicates that the user with the ID 24ab0340-b179-ef11-ac20-000d3a842a8f does not have the necessary ReadAccess rights to view the record with the ID 91cb2f3c-824b-ef11-accd-0022483e2794 of the Rich Text Attachment entity in Microsoft Dynamics.

And this error users are getting only for a notes attached by a specific user. We did try everyway possible. We are not sure if any role we have missed for this specific user.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi,

Please try and find out user id "24ab0340-b179-ef11-ac20-000d3a842a8f" points to which user.

See whether this user is the user who created the note or a user who is the owner of the parent entity record against which the note is being attached.

Check the roles attached to this user. The roles should allow the user to read Notes(Annotation) & Rich Text Attachment(msdyn_richtextfile) entity
