Change record ownership to Teams in Dynamics NAV to CRM Integration

Posted on by 60

Hi!

I have configured NAV 2017 to Dynamics Sales integration.

Currently i am synching Customers and Contacts, but the new records in CRM are created with user as owner of the record (user that is mapped to the salesperson associated with customer), I want team to be the record owner.

Is there any way to achieve this?

Thanks in advance

Yes, this is how we have done it. However, it requires a fair bit of custom code alongside and during the sync process. I would recommend looking forward at BC and creating in NAV2017 any subscribers that have been added in BC, rather than modifying the base code in NAV2017. (You do not want to have to re-write this customization when you upgrade to BC.) Also, try to use CRM Integration Record table in your coding/customization--not Integration Record table--because the latter is not used in BC. If you use IntegRec table strictly as a means of providing the GUID for your record, then you'll be fine.
