Client requires Lot #s assigned to a large quantity of one Item number in their offering. Testing using a configuration package of Tables 83 and 337 to Positive Adjust the items and Lot #s at the same time.

Upon importing the package, getting the following error. Output is not a choice in the Entry Type field.

Have tried applying the data and error remains, Item Journal is not updated with the new information.

    Hi,

First open the Journal which you want to post item. Then enter one Item and assign Lot No.

Then Open the Reservation Entry table and find the Pattern of creating Lot no. entries.

Then according to that pattern, create template and import the lot no. in the system.

    Amit,

Appreciate your response, and the steps you have outlined were performed during the manual entry of a couple items. However, we need to bring 300 + Lot #s to inventory already in the system and would like to do it with a Configuration Package.

We are looking to resolve the error message regarding the Entry Type as "Output" which does not exist as an option. Have you seen this error in this past?

    Kind regards,

    Jamie

If you are getting this error using an ordinary item journal it is because the data in your excel sheet is incorrect.

If you want to do a positive adjustment to your inventory the entry type should be "Positive Adjmt." if you want to do a negative adjustment your entry type should be "Negative Adjmt."

We are able to manually assign lot #s using "Positive Adjmt" as you have noted. Thank you.

Our next task is to assign lot #s to existing inventory that did not have the data when the inventory was originally "positively adjusted". Any thoughts on how to achieve that transaction?

    Kind regards,

    Jamie
