Hi, does anyone know if there is a way to find out who changed the exchange rate?
Normally the user in accounting is the one that takes care of that, but there was a change and she does not recall doing the change.
thank you

Hi,
You can write a trigger on the exchange table rate.
This is for the future rate change.
Hi, thank you very much for your help, in general is not a issue, no one really changes the exchange rate, but the accountant, it is just that she does not remember if she did one change that seems odd, and she wanted me to check if it was her.
thank you
Hi Virgilio
If you are having issues with changes being made and not sure who is performing these changes, you may want to look at software that tracks changes.
Rockton Software has Rockton Auditor and there is also FastPath's Audit trail
I notice you are on GP 2010 and if I recall the Microsoft Audit trails software will work in GP2010 as that is the last version it will work with.
You may want to consider the two mentioned products if you have wide spread changes you want to track and also if you plan on upgrading in the near future
In the past I have used activity tracking to track who is opening windows (like exchange rates, and new gl accounts) and then written a smart list against the table that stores the data to quickly see who opened the window I was interested in.
Unfortunately opening a window does not mean that the user did something while they were there so you could still get into a he said she said situation.
Activity tracking may take a while to set up if you have a lot of users, and can make a large table pretty quickly if you have lots of people opening lots of windows.
