We are using Dynamics 2016 on premises and the latest Dynamics Outlook plugin.
This issue is only a small number of users in the business, but it has a big impact on their jobs so need to resolve.
Basically, all appointments are created in Dynamics but some users also create separate appointments in Outlook for a separate business reason. The dynamics appointments are managed entirely in dynamics with the expectation this syncs back to outlook to update the calendar appointments.
These dynamics appointments are not always updating though, causing the appointments to appear at the wrong times or places.
None of the fixes attempted have resolved the issue, some making it worse with duplicates etc.
Fixes attempted include:
Turning off all synchronization in Outlook forcing a sync (back to an empty calendar) and then resyncing from dynamics. This has been done multiple times.
Deleted the database cache files from appdata/local(and roaming)/Microsoft/mscrm/client and letting recreate.
Adding the field in outlook view for syncstate and deleting those that are not synced correctly.
Deleting the outlook profile .pst and let it recreate.
Checked error logs and event logs, no issues identified at time of sync.
