Hello

I've been using coupon codes functionality for a while for our D365 POS .. I am aware of the usage limit feature which can limit the exact coupon code from being used more than once, but recently I found out that the cashier cannot use 2 different coupon codes for the same receipt so that the discount amount be applied twice .. Instead no matter how many coupon codes are applied to the receipt, only one discount amount applies

Any thoughts appreciated

Can you check what is the value in the exclusive box on your coupons? Likely the coupons are exclusive and only one discount can be applied at a time.

Hey Suha,

I can suggest one more thing and try out if that helps. Check the discount on the Coupon and check the discount concurrency mode on the discount. Maybe the restriction is at the discount.

Hi Suha,

If I understand correctly all your discounts (related to the coupons you are using) have

Discount concurrency mode = Compounded

Pricing Priority = 0

And discount type = "Threshold discount" or "Discount"

And your commerce parameter is also set correctly to compound discounts within the same pricing priority.

It should be working correctly and I don't know why this is not working for you. To understand the exact cause someone will have to look at the transactions much more closely, I would suggest open a support ticket with Microsoft.

Hi Hubert,

The answer from Microsoft was that this is how it works, There is a restriction in D365... cannot use more than one coupon for the same receipt from the same list of coupon codes.

That sounds correct to me and if there isn't a setting on the Discount record to control that then it must be by design and something that Microsoft have hardcoded in there. Assume you have the 'Exclusive' flag on the Coupon record set to 'No'? I think having it set to 'Yes' would have the effect you describe.
