Requisition number to be added to the PO document

Posted on by 1,146

Hi, we are using Dynamics GP 2015 and word templates for producing our POs. Our users are asking for a requisition number to be added to the PO document. Does anyone know if this would be possible and if so, how so?

This means you still have calculated fields ref the old MFG POP table. You'll need to open those calculated fields and select 'delete' (it wont let you delete them from the field list for some reason). Make sure the MFG fields arent on the report as well

    Adding to this post:

When you remove the manufacturing table relationship you also have to remove the header that contains the data connected to this relationship otherwise you get a "Bad Break Field in an additional Header or Footer" error.

I have done everything in this post and am getting this error - which I am unable to resolve.

    Hi,

The first step is to remove the table 'Purchasing Manufacturer Numbers' from the PO Report. Because it's a many to one relationship you cannot have both on the report.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

Were you able to get this working? I have the same issue with GP 2016.  I have added the table relationship.  When I am on the popPOLineRollupTemp table the SOP/POP link is there.  When I go back to the report definition and click on tables, then the popPOLineRollupTemp* and get the list of tables that can be added the SOP/POP link table is not there.  Have closed and re-opened report and RW.  No luck.  Can still see the relationship defined though on the table....  Any ideas?

    Hi,

I'll take it from the top. I cannot make out your screen shots very well on this little monitor, so I'll show you what mine look like.

    Here is the relationship window;

Here's what your tables should look like after you've added the SOP/POP relationship window. Notice that it is a child to the Purchase Order Line Rollup Temp*. Click on that Temp file and click New and you should have the SOP_POP table listed.

Next, you need to add the report restriction on the SOP_POP table.

Finally, you need to drag your new field out onto the report in the H2 (Item Header) section

Grant security to the modified report and the req number should print next to the item number

How is your report different than above?

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

I am sorry but this does not work for me. I have created the relationship as depicted below -

When I go to create the relationship, I do not see that table (SOP POP link)-

When I go and look for the table I do not see it anywhere? Is there anything I m missing?

RE: Requisition number to be added to the PO document

There is an existing relationship between the PO Rollup Temp table and the SOP/POP link table. Add that table to your report in RW. You need to add a new restriction where SOP/POP Link SOP Number = SOP/POP Link SOP Number (yes they are the same, they are matching themselves). After that, drag the Requisition number to the line item field. The Requisition Number is stored in the SOPNUMBE field. I just made that exact modification to the PO Blank form.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

By the way the field is available in SOP POP link table, so, if you could point to how to create the proper working relationship with any of the relevant POP tables on the PO forms, that would help me. Thanks.
