Hello:
Scenario as quickly as I can explain it: The GP 10.0 end user logs into GP on a Term Server box. Others do, as well, but they log on to different Term Servers than what this end user uses.
Anyway, the GP network printers for all of the users used to go through this Term Server. As such, this end user used to get prompted by the GP Print Setup window for being able to choose the printer when printing a Sales Order Processing order or invoice.
Recently, the IT department installed a printer server that controls the GP printers. So, this Term Server no longer controls the GP network printing.
Now, this end user no longer gets prompted by the Print Setup window. So, to change printers, she has to manually go to the GP Print Setup window to conduct this change prior to printing.
What needs to be changed to restore her ability to choose the Printer? No, this client does not and never has used Named Printers. So, it has nothing to do with that. And, there is no 3rd party involved for their printing.
Now, she has always gotten a GP security error message upon printing--even before this new printer server was put in place. But, she simply and always clicked past this message and was still able to print and do so successfully.
But, with this new printer server in place, does she now need security access to some window? She can access the Print Setup window manually as I said. So, it can't be an issue with that window. If this is it, which window is it?
The bottom line is that she needs to see the Print Setup window appear in order to make that choice.
Thanks!
John
