SSRS reporting in MSCRM

ReportReport
Posted on by 25

Hi,

We have SSRS reports in our MSCRM application. I realized that columns in the reports moves to the last position if there is no data in that column in all rows. In this condition the column on the right to the column which doesn't has data will move before it.

Thus, the position of the columns are not fixed in the reports. I want to fix the position of the columns.

Hoping for solutions.

TIA.

    Hi Adrian,

I dno/t need to hide the columns if it doesn't has any value. I only was to set the sequence of the column fixed.

for instance the columns should be displayed in the below sequesce.

    Column1  Column2   Column3   Column4

Right now what's happening is that if all the columns have values then the sequence of the columns will be same as above but if suppose column 2 doesn't has data then the columns in the report will be displayed in the below sequence.

    Column1  Column3  Column4  Column2

I don't want the sequence to chnage.

    Hi Vineet,

Chances are high that the reports have not been set-up to hide the column when the values inside it are blank, or there are issues with grouping in the reports. However, it is difficult to give you an exact solution without examining your reports first.

Thank you for your answer but i am not well versed in SSRS reports. So, I posted the query here to know the solution not the general method. The procedure you described  does not list out probable reason for the cause.

    Hi Vineet,

To fix this issue, export the report from CRM and open the Report in SSRS. You will be able to find the cause of the issue by examining the report. Once you fix the Report, import it back into CRM.
