We have a problem with certain purchase requests that do not appear associated with the user who approves.

How can I fix this error.

So I understand, when submitting requisitions through Workflow for approval, the ribbon in the window doesn't show the name of the approver(s), only showing "Pending Approval by approvers: " ?

If you look at the requisitions in the 'Purchase Requisitions Pending Approval' list under Purchasing, does the workflows show the pending approver or that it is pending multiple approvers?

If you haven't run this against the GP system database recently, run it again and verify that it runs successfully:

          Exec wfDeployClrAssemblies

Also, are there any error messages seen when submitting workflows for approval and/or attempting to approve them?

yes, when we try to approve by email. After this error, appears without the name of the approver.

    Request Error by email:

The server encountered an error processing the request. See server logs for more details.

    user workflow log:

07/04/2022 10:45:24 AM: ActiveDirectory.GetUserObjectByObjectGuid - Unable to retrieve user from the DirectoryEntry object, performing fallback logic to lookup the object across multiple forests.

07/04/2022 10:45:52 AM: ActiveDirectory.GetUserObjectByDirectoryEntry - An invalid dn syntax has been specified.

To verify, if the approvers approve the workflows from within the GP application, such as the pending approval lists, the approval is successful and the workflows flow and email as expected?

If so, and the error is only when approving via the email links, i.e. Web Services, the 'server encountered an error processing the request' usually, but not always, means that there is an issue with Web Services.

Use the steps in this article to verify Web Services is working, on the server specified in the Workflow Setup window, under Workflow Actions:

    Thanks
