How do I display Advanced Find search fields in a Dashboard?

I want to be able to display the search criteria of a saved Advanced Find in a Dashboard.  I am aware that there is a generic Quick Find Search but I want to be able to populate my Advanced Find search criteria (Date of Birth = x and Last Name = x) within a dashboard and then execute the search there.

As far as I can see it is only possible to have the generic Quick Find Search as a search option.  The way we have configured our Quick Find has removed DOB as a criteria within it and there are no plans to change this.

Thank you.

    Hi Richard.

    1. Customize your advanced find search
    2. Save it as a new view
    3. Create your dashboard
    4. Add a list item to your dachboard
    5. Choose the entity and than your saved view
    6. Done!

It is not possible to populate your search criteria directly on the dashboard.

    Kind regards,

    Karsten

Thanks Karsten for your rapid response.  It is disappointing not being able to populate search criteria in the dashboard.  Do you know if the more recent versions of CRM are any more flexible in this regard please?  Thanks again.

    Hello Richard,

    Thanks for the verify!

In my company we use MS CRM 2016 SP1 and it's the same behaviour... and I cannot imagine that Microsoft changed it in MS Dynamics 365... but somebody else has to to answer this.

    Kind regards,

    Karsten
