the type of this argument does not match the expected type "Record". found type "Text"

Hello Team,

I using dynamics 365 Finance and Operation at the back end and I have a field called ParentPositionand its datatype is string. When I'm trying to patch a record to my table.It gives an error to the field ParentPosition saying 'the type of this argument does not match the expected type "Record" found type "Text" ' .What should I do? How should resolve this Issue?
