ReportI need to export Fixed Assets from Great Plains version 8 to Great Plains 2010. Fixed Asset is not used in the GP 2010 install. This is my first time ever exporting data and want to make sure I don't screw up our data. My question is if I perform an export in verion 8 will it only create a package file while still keeping the data in version 8? The reason I ask is, just incase I perform the export and try to perfom the import into version 2010 and some thing doesn't go well, the data would stil be in the system while I have the package file.
