We have recently upgraded a client to GP2016R2 and they are looking forward to utilizing the doc attach feature specifically in AP. Manually attaching a document works seamlessly however when attempting to scan a document directly from the doc attach window using the "Scan" button GP goes into a never ending loop. The process goes as follows:
- enter ap transaction
- select paper clip on the menu bar
- select scan
- Scanner interface launches and user selects scan type (colour, black and white, etc)
- First progress screens "Scanning Doc" works to completion
- Second progress screen "Retrieving Data" appears and enters into an endless loop that cannot be cancelled without using End Task
I believe all the appropriate drivers have been installed and the scanner does seem to be working.
At this stage i'm not sure where the scan doc has been stored and where GP is looking to retrieve the data.
Anybody else seen this issue and have any ideas?
