SL 2015 CU1 Delete Released Work Order

Customer entered and Released a Work Order, then determined it was no longer necessary.  Attempted to delete, and they get System Message 21212 "Work Orders can only be deleted if in Plan processing stage".  Once a WO is Released, the Processing Stage does not seem to allow changing back to Plan.  What is the proper way to delete a WO once it is released?

I should further clarify that none of the Components have been Issued, merely the Processing Stage was changed from "Plan" to "Released".

    Mark,

I believe this was also posted to the Partner Forum. Here is the reply from there:

    Good Day -

Thank you for posting your question to the forum. In WOSetup, there are a few options to look at.

    • Completion tab - Make sure the Relieve allocation (unissued material) when moving to Ops-Closed is selected

    • Closing tab - Make sure the Allow to Close Short and Allow Close with Unissued Components options are selected.

Once these are set and saved, advance the order to Ops-Closed. Once set and saved you can close the order in  the Work Order Closing screen.

    I hope this helps.
