In older AX environments, the volume of completed picking lines is becoming a performance issue.
Obviously the delete validation on WMSORDERTRANS prevents deletion of any records with any status of picked, staged, loaded or complete and subsequently deleting WMSORDER records.
Now I understand the rationale behind the first three stages of a picking line lifecycle, but why should I hold on to completed lines until the end of time (or 12/31/2154, whichever comes first)? Just so I can see from which location I picked half a carton of bacon bandages (Look it up!) back in April 2015?
Can anybody provide a solid reason why we cannot just clean up these precious inventory orders? Or better yet, share some good experience with deleting the living daylights out of them?
