I have had a sudden issue in an environment that was functioning just perfectly. I am using credential type (Window) and all users are working right. Now when any user tries to access Dynamics NAV, they get the following error:

Please let me know where to check, and how to know the source root cause. .. in order to resolve this

Thanks in Advance,

    Hi asf,

You should get into the company try the following options

Check the NAV instance is pointing to the correct database.

restart the NAV instance. Try to run NAV as administrator

If this does not work clear all the user setting and Add them from Super user.

Check the User permission on SQL.

    Hi @A. Saf!

There might be several reasons for this error.

    - The company might not exist, did you be able to see the company in company?

    - You might dont have sufficient permissions. you can set your permissions by running the command below.

    Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned
    import-module "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics NAV\80\Service\NavAdminTool.ps1"
    New-NAVServerUser -ServerInstance <Enter Your Nav Instance Name> -WindowsAccount <Enter Your Username>
New-NAVServerUserPermissionSet -PermissionSetId SUPER -ServerInstance <Enter Your Nav Instance Name> -WindowsAccount <Enter Your Username>

Please make sure you run this command in Windows PowerShell ISE as administrator.

Just adding a value what other members said because there's now already been a lot possibilities that could happen :), First check for any customisation if it's been Implemented by your partner. Secondly please check roles and responsibilities and do confirm in the company name field, there's a specific company that's deliberately been put in.

    Hi A. Saf,

It seems that the account has no User Permission Sets, or suitable User Permission Sets (Company assignment).
