Req Management and PO quantity maximum issue

Requisition management has a limitation on the number of digits for quantity to be ordered.  Problem is that is we do some rather large Pos (Req man accepts 9,999,999 and we do po for 99,999,999).  SO for larger Pos it seems that our choice is to make more lines in req man, but if we do that when we do enter / match process for the invoices we will need to choose each line to find where GP posted the receipt.  (so a 52,240 lb receipt you need to enter the amount on the line and let GP search)

I am looking for a simpler way that would help the user on req man and the user on enter/match…

Trevor, per the client, Unfortunately that does not work well – most places sell these items by the pound and for tractability in the WMS system we receive and use by pound – that is our base UOM

Could you add a unit of measure?  For example, if you requisition tons instead of lbs, you wouldn't need as many digits.  You could set the mutiplier in the U/M setup, then set ton as the default purchasing U/M and that's what req mgmt would see when adding new lines.  Anyway, that's my first thought...
