would like to have a customer/member program, but I need it to be for a certain period of time, i.e. a year. Can put in customers with a certain discount, but I cannot find a way to do it for a specific time period. Any help would be appreciated.

You need a Loyalty app, there are a whole bunch of them available. We can help you choose one if you like.

You will need some type of 3rd party software to accomplish this. Retail Hero makes a great loyalty module, otherwise if you want something tailored exactly to your need, drop me an email and we can discuss what it would take to built a customization.
