How to automate routine report to be sent every week?

ReportReport
Posted on by 22
Hello.

I am attempting to automate a report every week and have it sent to my inbox - specifically, the jobs per items report for an item for the prior 7 days.

It seems like the posting date filter here is where I should start, but I'm struggling to have the field /hold the formula/ instead of it being immediately converted at the time of creation of the original report.

I.E below - I've typed CD..CD-7D in the posting date filters field in an attempt to have the report run for the date range of /7 days prior to today/. However, the code gets immediately converted to hard dates so by the time I enter schedule, all it does is run the report repeatedly every week for the same Feb14-21st period.

Many thanks in advance. Any help is much appreciated.

Hi, you can consider using Job Queue and just set Recurrence. But if you want to automatically send emails, you may need some minor customization, such as creating a codeunit to send the report.

Hope this can give you some hints.
    Thanks.
