Fixed Assets: Partial disposal of a fixed asset

Hi,

I want to know if its possible to dispose fixed assets partially. They have on the FA master a quantity of 5 and the unit cost is 4000. The FA was acquired at a cost of 20000 and now they want to dispose 1 unit of the asset (cost 4000). I saw in the fixed asset journals i can add the quantity field on the journal lines, i selected quantity of 1 and it disporsed the whole Fixed asset( 4 UNITS).

Please advise

Hi Alexio,

You can use FA split functionality by this you can separate the portion of FA from existing Asset for disposal. You may go through below link for split FA
