I have a small client migrating from MAS to GP. Their accounting server is running Windows Server 2008 R2 Foundation. This edition of Windows Server is not specifically mentioned in the System Requirements of GP2013.
The Foundation edition has the same functionalty as the full Windows Server 2008 R2 product but with limitations such as maximum number of users (15), maximum RAM (8GB) and some others. They only have 8 users so it falls within the Foundation maximum of 15.
Are there any known conflicts with running GP2013 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Foundation?
Thanks,
Claude

I have the same question (0)Hello Claude,
Dynamics GP 2013 has only been tested on Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise or Standard Edition SP1 or later.
These are actually specified in the 'System Requirements for Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013' pages found in both CustomerSource or PartnerSource.
Because our GP Development hasn't actually tested Dynamics GP 2013 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Foundation, we can't guarantee that it will work completely, and technically it wouldn't be a supported environment.
Thank you,
