Physical Inventory and deactivated items

 We process physical inventory checks in SO Mgr by department or category but these continuously list all items that are deactivated as well. How can I stop these physical inventory checks from showing deactivated items? Is there something i can change in the item properties in order to do so?

    See if creating the PI item list from a filter works for you

    inventory - physical inventory - new - select "generate for all items in the specified filter" - click "set filter"

    in the filter select your department or category AND inactive = no

     It should only display active items in that dept / category
