RE: 5.7.57 Client not authenticated to send mail
Hi Johan,
Thank you very much for the article shared with me.
Also the thread was helpful which made us receive a different error: The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.7.57 Client not authenticated to send mail. Error: 535 5.7.139 Authentication unsuccessful, SmtpClientAuthentication is disabled for the Tenant. Visit aka.ms/smtp_auth_disabled for more information. [JN2P275CA0026.ZAFP275.PROD.OUTLOOK.COM]"} System.Net.Mail.SmtpException
When following the link in the error it leads to an article most of which we have in place, but states this.
file:///C:/Users/MhlabaD/Downloads/SMTP%20Auth.png
Simple the link refers to SMTP Client Authentication
SMTP Client Auth is enabled on the tenant so I have went and disabled it
I will advise with further outcome
Kind regards,
Mhlaba
