Multi currency per Quote-line

I have a question about the use of different currencies in Quotes:

Is it possible to have multiple currencies per quote-line in a Quote?
For example:
In one quote-line I would like to see the purchase price in USD and the sales price in GBP.
In the next qoute-line I would like to see the purchase price in EUR and the sales price in EUR.
It's a quote for one customer that works with locations in different countries.

And if per quote-line isn't possible is it possible to switch currencies per Quote?
For instance: I have a supplier that wants the possibility to change purchase price currency depending on the production site.
And the buyers can be in different countries with their own currency.

Hope my question is clear enough and you can shed some light on this issue.
Thanks

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

If your question is related to Dynamics 365 for Sales, you cannot have different currencies per line.

Although, Quote Line have a currency lookup file, but this is for mapping purpose.

If you try to change its value (assume Quote is USD but line is AUD), you will get following exception on create:

Exception Message: The currency of the quotedetail does not match the currency of the quote.

Answer to your second question is yes, for same customer, you can have different currency per quote (but not quote line).

    Hi Wahaj,

Thanks for your fast and clear answer.

Can I switch currencies per Quote, regardless of the default currency of the account (supplier or end-customer)?

    Appreciate your help!

    Yes, you can.

If you are creating a Quote directly from the Account form, default currency will be mapped base on Account data, however, you can change it and then save the quote.

When you create Quote directly, the currency field is blank (not mapped from Account), you choose whatever you would like to choose here.
