Hi BC Guru's,

I get an error on the Standard Cost Worksheet when I try to Roll Up Standard Cost for Assemblies.

The Item does not exist. Identification fields and values: No.=''

I checked my Item List and found no items without any no. I also checked my Item Config Package Table to see if there were any blank items but none were found.
Not sure what else is triggering this problem.
Any help is very appreciated!

Hi,  is there a blank line without the Item No?

Additionally, If this were in the Sandbox, you can use the debugger and check from where this error is.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks.

We discovered that an old BOM version had a blank line which caused the error.
It wasn't even the active BOM version.

Suggest looking at all BOM versions  for the part and searching for a blank line.

As KH-10111904-0 mentioned there must be a line somewhere where the No. field is empty. It would not be in the Item list, try looking at all your assembly boms.

    Hi
    Check the Standard Cost Worksheet
Open it, then filter the No. field to '' (blank).
If you see any lines (especially where Type = Item), either fill in the missing item number or delete those lines.

    Check Assembly BOMs
Go to Assembly BOMs → Lines.
    Set filters:
    • Type = Item
    • No. = ''
If any lines appear, fix or remove them.
Repeat for Assembly BOM Versions if you use them.

    heck Production BOMs (if used)
Do the same filters: Type = Item, No. = '', and clean up blanks.
    Check Production BOM Versions too.

     Other Possible Causes
    • A subassembly might have a missing or deleted item on its BOM.
    • A deleted item may still exist as a blank reference.
    • Data imported via Excel/config packages sometimes adds hidden blank lines.

    Hello,
The error means the Standard Cost Roll-Up is hitting a blank or invalid Item No. in an assembly/BOM.
    Fix:
Check all Assembly BOM lines, ensure every line has a valid Item No. and Quantity.
Remove or correct any blank BOM components.
Recreate the Standard Cost Worksheet and rerun the roll-up.

    Regards,

    Hello,

This error usually means the Standard Cost Worksheet or an assembly BOM contains a reference to an item with a blank Item No., even if your Item List looks fine.

Common causes include hidden blank lines in the worksheet, incomplete BOM components, or leftover records from imports/config packages.

To fix it, review the worksheet for empty Item No. rows, check all BOMs for missing components, and remove any invalid references before rerunning the roll-up process.

    Hi

You can get more details about the error; we could review it and see where it's coming from. There's probably some development involved.
