Dynamics CRM 2011 - SSRS BIDS - query builder - fetchXML based query - throwing 'Record type doesn't exist error

Today i started getting a very strange error in BIDS while putting together a fetchXML based SSRS report. While creating a new report using the 'report wizard', when i reached to a stage where i paste the fetchXML query (which i downloaded using Advanced Find Download option), it is giving me 'The specified record type does not exist in CRM'. Here is the screen shot of the error -

However the strange part is i get this error only if i try to fetch 'custom' entities or 'custom' fields. e.g. if fetch createdon field from account enttity, it is works, but if i fetch new_customfield, it gives me above error.

My dev set-up - SQL server 2008R2 / CRM 2011 Roll-up 11 / using BIDS / using BIDS extention.

I tried to uninstall / reinstall the BIDS extention but no success.

Any clues? Cheers, Vijay

    I don't see the screenshot. But are you absolutely sure you are connecting to the correct organization? Perhaps you have more than one and the data source is pointing a different one that does not have the custom entities.

    Hi everyone,

    I found the problem. It was the connection string, which was causing the problem. I was using the wrong connection string. I was using following connection string - http://xxx.com/orgname; instead of http://xxx.com;orgname;

    I am extremely sorry for taking your time,

    Apologies,

    Vijay
