Audit User Access.

Hello All Experts,

I have a query when we enabled Audit user access then what will be the impact.

When the auditing will work

if i enable right now the previous login will be shown or it will just capture data since we enabled it?

what about the performance if we enable user access auditing.

any help will be appreciable.

This query is for MSCRM 365 online.

    Hi EmployeeOcta,

    The Audit will start logging data only after it was enabled. There is no history displayed, prior the date the audit was enabled.

    As per docs.microsoft.com/.../audit-user-access:

    The frequency of auditing user access can be read or set using the Organization.UserAccessAuditingInterval attribute. The default attribute value of 4 indicates user access is audited once every 4 hours.

    So if you want you can reduce the frequency. However with the default settings i am not aware of any performance hit.

    Hi there.

    Up to date I've experienced no impacts while using the Audit User Access.

    The system only logs the login of an user and the date time. No performance impacts.

    However... the audit files need space on your available disk space.
