Export table data to Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (Choices coming through as codes not descriptors)

Hi all,

I have been using the following guide

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/data-platform/export-to-data-lake

To go into Power Apps and  export to data lake.

It all worked really well but for one thing.

Our table contains lots of choice columns. These choices have a code and a descriptor

The only thing we get out in the csvs are the codes.

And there is no way to get out the choices into a look up that we can use

Is there anything we can do to get things sorted? Or is there anywhere I can raise a ticket to have this issue looked at

The Code is basically useless to us without the choice descriptors

I have raised a ticked but its taking a long time for the Dynamics team to understand the issue. I should say that the choices codes are also exporting when you use the API in Data Factory and again, there is no way to get the descriptors

When you say DAX, to me that means Power BI Data Analysis Expressions so I dont really understand the solution here? When I go into Tables in the back end (Power Apps) I dont have a table of that name

There is a table SRSAnalysisEnums in DAX. If you export it you might have all your enums (choice)

    Thanks,

    Hi Debbie,

You can go https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/support to raise a ticket.
