Change URL that is generated by "Copy Link" or "E-Mail" buttons

ReportReport

My Accounting team sends links for some of our financial reports via email.  The URL that is generated from within Report Viewer when clicking the "Copy Link" or "E-Mail" buttons on the top toolbar uses the server's local name (servername.local:4712...)   This has worked fine for us when accessing the links from our LAN, but we now have a need to provide these reports to our management team when they're working offsite (remote.)

I have setup access to these links via Microsoft Azure Application Proxy.  If I generate a link to a report using one of the two methods mentioned above, then replace the root of the URL (http://servername.local:4712) with our External URL that we created in App. Proxy, I can view the reports normally across the internet.

In order to keep my management team from having to replace the beginning of the shared link with our External App Proxy URL every time they want to view a report from offsite, I'd like to change how Report Viewer generates those links by changing what it uses as the server name to reflect my external URL.

For example, a normally generated link in Report Viewer would look like this:  http://servername.local:4712/Report.svc/report/7aba0935-bb28-4e88-9ef4-4fb5d20e2532/00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000

To access this same report remotely (over the internet), the same URL would need to be generated to look like this:  Reporter-MyDomain.msappproxy.net/Report.svc/report/7aba0935-bb28-4e88-9ef4-4fb5d20e2532/00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000

Again, if I manually replace the beginning of this URL, it works fine.  So I don't need any assistance with getting this to work through Microsoft App. Proxy.  I just need to change Report Viewer so that when you click the "Copy Link" or "E-mail" buttons, it uses Reporter-MyDomain.msappproxy.net when it generates the URL instead of the server name.

Is this possible?

Correction:  The new URL should be https://Reporter-MyDomain.msappproxy.net.....

Making the MR reports external is not supported. MR was never meant to have reports external, and it'd actually be a security risk as the reports are not encrypted or secure in anyway.

If you decide to modify them in this way, that's up to you, but we do not support nor assist in such a setup.

    Thanks
