Is it Possible to Upgrade from a BusinessE to EnterpriseE?

Posted on by 3,460

For my case i am making a portal where i need to register lots of users as a contact and companies.

So for sure i will one day i will cross the limit of the Business Edition, is it possible to go from BE to Enterprise Edition without changing anything from my side, even when there is alot customized ?

For the moment the EE is overkill and extremely expensive, but i know i can handle the price and lots of the functionalities after a year.

If this is not possible, what can you suggest?

In Microsoft's announcement of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement it was said that you can change your plan from Business Edition to Enterprise and from Enterprise to Business.

If you need official Microsoft confirmation, you will need to contact MS directly.

Since you are using Dynamics 365 Online, I would just open a ticket on the Office 365 Portal, and ask that question. I am sure you will get a "Microsoft" valid answer.

I agree, but i want Microsoft to confirm this.

I have been contacting them, but they dont answer me neither did they call me since I have filled in two times the contact me form on the dynamics website.

Since none of the customer engagement apps are available in Business Edition yet, there is no official answer to your question.

However, I would expect that it would be possible to go from BE to EE because BE is effectively the same as EE with limitations imposed.  I think the other way, from EE to BE is less likely.

Anyway, that's only my thought nothing official yet.

    Hi,

Check this link on how to change existing plans: technet.microsoft.com/.../mt788655.aspx

It's better to raise a Billing Support Request by following the below link:

    www.microsoft.com/.../billing-faqs-for-dynamics-365-online.aspx

Choose the best Support Options that suits your requirement:

    I hope this helps!!
