Hi,

I want to print the transaction date separately in ddmmyyyy format in the receipt.

For example if date is 06-10-2016 i want to print is separately as 06102016.

How can we do this? I tried using date functions , substring functions but with no luck.

It is very important task. Any help please?

Thanks and Regards,

Uma

    Hi Uma.

I beleive there are no date formating functions in RMS´s xml files.

There is one very easy way to do it, but You will need to create a small add-on, that will prepare dinamically a Sesion variable, with the information (date format) you need and print it out on the receipt where You need it. You will need to develop as a COM object (a DLL file), register it the file on the POS PC and make a small modification on the receipt file.

For this, if You don´t have this technical skills, please contact your RMS Partner. It is really a small development, we are talking hours...

    Hi Antonijo,

Don't we have any functions in XML to get only day part separately month part separately and year part separately from the date? COM object is one of the solutions. I just wanted to check if there is a simple way of doing it .

    Hi again Uma.

No, there are no date/time functions for getting separate values from in RMS Transaction Date variable, I´m sorry. As far as know.

I beleive the only option you have is what I suggested or eventually, something similar, by saving the data into Transaction Reference number or Comment...

    Hi Antonijo,

I still have a hope that in this discussion we will come across a simple solution.

What can we do by saving the data into Teansaction Reference number ?

    Hi Uma.

If there is a will, there is a way - they say... so, here is an idea... not sure if it will work though...

I was thinking of manually adding the values dd, mm and yyyy in then printing them out...which is obviously time consuming at the register, and probably with user errors... But, maybe, if You make a tSQL trigger on the Transaction table in RMS database, that will automatically fill in Reference Number and Comment with the dd and mm values.... ???

Not sure if it will work, but you can try... I need to try it also, to be honest... just thinking loud...
