deleting report template

How can I delete a report template?  Specifically I'm referring to the GL Module, Detail General Ledger report.  We have several templates that do not function and want to delete some.  Delete key doesn't work.  Thanks, Steve

    Steve,

    You can't delete the report template in the screen itself. You'll need to do this in SQL.

    In the system database, there's a table called 'template'.

    Use the screen number and the template id to delete the template itself.

    Let me know if you need that actual SQL code to do this.

    Hi Kiara.  By the way - thanks for your help the other day regarding budget load.  I'm not an IT sort of guy - so I'll have to turn this one over to them.  I assume they would have access to the system database.  Any details you can supply would be helpful as we don't have requests very often for IT like this - so they may not know how to address the solution.  Thanks, Steve

    Hi Steve & Kiara,

    I beleive that you can delete the report template via a screen. If you bring up the ROI screen in question and then hit Actions, Template. This should bring up the Template Screen (98.230.00). On this screen you will be able to delete/update the templates associated with that ROI screen.

    Hi Chris, I just tried this and it seems to have worked.  The template was no longer in the list once i followed your process.  Thanks very much for the help - this has been haunting me.  Happy Holidays.  Steve

    Aack! I completely forgot about that functionality - I spent so many years deleting the things directly in the database that I didn't remember that! My bad!
