multiple click on 'Save and close' button creates multiple records on Enterprise portal

Hello,

When user clicks multiple times very quickly on 'Save and Close' button while registering absence, it creates multiple records of absence. what could be the reason and how to avoid this? is this the common bug across all Enterprise portal 'Save and Close' button?

Though we are not able to reproduce at development machine, Client is facing it intermittently. is this related to network speed? Client is using it in LAN and i guess speed shouldn't be the problem.
