Outlook Client cant connect to CRM 2013 (on premises)

I have been trying to get the Outlook 2013 client x86 to communicate with my CRM 2013 on-premises installation but it wont work.

I have followed a KB article which the error suggested to make sure there is only 1 HTTP binding in IIS for the CRM site and that is the case so i am at a total loss, i have included pics of the error, any help would be much appreciated.

    Possible update i have gone into developer resources and when i click the link for the discovery service i get a generic page cant be displayed error, am i right in thinking this might be why the outlook client cant connect?

    Ok i have made some changes to the URL in deployment manager as it was incorrect and now the outlook clinet configures without issue, however all the CRM icons in the top ribbon are grayed out and the ones in the file organisation information are greyed out to so all though its installed i cant use it for anything?
