Invoke Dialog from Workflow or Javascript

I have a field listening to a custom business process flow I have created for a custom entity.

The scenario I have is whenever I move this type of record from Intermediate Stage to the Final Stage, a review needs to be taken place and if the review is successful it moves the record to the final status so I would like to invoke a Dialog where I will place some boolean fields to represent this final review.

Can anyone indicate what is the best way for me to achieve this?

    Hi Lucas,

    you will have to use the javascript - on change of the stage you call the javascript using addonstagechange event.

    Hi Lucas,

    You trigger on JavaScript on change of boolean field.

    function openDialogProcess(dialogId, entityName, objectId)

    {

    var url = Xrm.Page.context.getClientUrl() +

     "/cs/dialog/rundialog.aspx?DialogId=" +

     dialogId + "&EntityName=" +

     entityName + "&ObjectId=" +

     objectId;

    window.open(url);

    }

    Or you can use alert.js third party script - [View:https://github.com/PaulNieuwelaar/alertjs/wiki/Documentation]

    Please note Dialogs are deprecate from a future major release of Dynamics 365. Dialogs will be replaced by mobile task flows and business process flows.

    Thanks

    You can also use process.js to call a Workflow, Dialog or Action from JavaScript:

    github.com/.../processjs

    Hope this helps.
