Hello Experts,

I have created a custom RDLC report layout and mapped field of LOT No.from the the table /Tracking Specification 336/ . But the LOT No. showing is different in the report than expected. How I can trace / debug this mismatch for this report?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

    Hi Ranjith,

With the tool Microsoft SQL Server Report Builder you can review the table mapping,  you can trace the mismatch for this report. Click on the report you would like to modify and click Export Layout, this process will download a .rdlc file to your Downloads folder. In order to modify this report you need to rename the file to rdl as that is the file type that you can modify using SQL Report Builder.
Please refer to the MS document to install the Microsoft Report Builder: Install Microsoft Report Builder - SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) | Microsoft Learn

    Hi Judy,
    Thank you for your response.

I couldn't find out the reason of mismatch.

The LOT selected in the production component is GL/00215.

But, in my custom report the LOT is other one.

In the data set I have mapped the same table of "Tracking Specification - 336".  How can I trace that why the LOT No "GL/000142" is fetched in the report instead of "GL/00215" ?

    Hi Ranjith,

    Thanks for your feedback.
Maybe you can check the "prod. order components" page to track if the "LOT No " field is coming from the same table as your custom report table "Tracking Specification - 336." You can go to the Help & Support > Inspect pages and data and open the Page Inspection page, The reference Microsoft Document:

    Hope it can help.
    Best Regards,

    Hi Judy,

Thanks for sharing it. The same way I have identified the table as Tracking Specification -336.  The current scenario is that, I am trying to print the JOB card of a released production order. The LOT No has been selected for the production order components lines and want to print this LOT no into the JOB Card. Following are my findings,

Since the order status is released and in progress , there is no item ledger entries or consumptions journals posted at this stage. The LOT no is just selected from the available LOT's in the production order components lines to indicate that those components will be consumed. At this stage, the component lines information is stored into "Tracking Specification"  temporary table.  Is there any way to map and get the temporary table data in to report dataset?

    Regards,
    Ranjith
