Strange Characters Upon Typing

Hello:

A Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 R2 client of mine is having an intermittent issue where strange characters appear, upon typing.

UAC is disabled.  Also, the issue is happening for more than one user.  The users are reporting that specifically "double boxes" are appearing, upon typing.

My client has been on GP, since 2008.  This issue has been happening, since they upgraded to GP 2015 R2, a few months ago.

They are on fat clients, so no Terminal Servers are in place.  They have such third parties installed as Nodus and Binary Stream.  As far as I know, default language settings are in place.

I think that the issue is on any and all windows and is intermittent.  Yes, multiple users are receiving the issue.

Any ideas?

    To rule out a windows issue, open Notepad when the issue occurs and see if the characters are correct there.

    I ran into this issue here, but it was because our international folks left their keyboard settings set to a non-typical setting.

    Just thought...maybe try renaming your forms dictionary? (so when you launch GP, you get a new blank forms dictionary) Also, close all other windows (word, XL, any dialogue boxes etc) when this issue occurs. reopen the GP window and se does it happen.

    What version of windows are they using?

    Did they upgrade their windows software same time as the GP upgrade? or maybe some time afterwards?

    Generally, these are windows OS issues, not an application one.
