User are unable to create Quote from Opportunity when Source Campaign Field is filled

Hey community,

we discovered a problem in a client project, we can not explain. Moreover we could not find any documentation that explained the problem.

Set up:

- Dynamics Sales environment where every user can view, write, create accounts, contacts, opportunities, Quotes and Orders

Problem:

- User tried to create a quote from an opportunity which is linked to a source campaign

- User got an error message "access denied"

- When we deleted the link in the opportuntiy to the source campaign, user were able to create quotes

Question:

Can anyone explain the link between opportunity, quote and source campaign? Are access right needed to campaign entity ?

Try making the append and appendto privlidges to Organisation level. It should work.

Hi,

You should check browser developer tool Network tab to get the exact missing privilege name.

good guess! The affected user has a security with the following security rights:

do they need append and append to on organizational level?

Have you tried creating quote with system admin role user to check if it has anything to do with security role of the user?

Please check the security role of the user .

Specially for the campaign entity, Please check the append and append to security rights for the roles assigned to user.
