Hi Experts,

I installed NAV 2017 and Help Server for NAV 2017. Everything is OK.

But when I press F1 on Window Client, only "Welcome Page" is always opened even though I press F1 button on any fields from any pages. I also check Language. It is correct.

I checked on older version (NAV 2016). It is OK.

I check location folder of Help Server of NAV 2016 vs NAV 2017.

There are some html files are missed. (help page for each field of each page)

I also checked from Source Setup of Microsoft. They is missed from Source Setup.

So, my question: Microsoft miss some materials for doing setup Help Server Or MS don't want to include them into Source Setup file. Because MS released tooltip for each field for NAV 2017. I should to do what to help this issue.

Nop , Microsoft doesn't miss any thing , its probably your setup issue ,

or check whether your help server correctly link with the server

also can i know about is this demo ?

also did you try to install same server or separate server ?

Hi Maneesha De Silva,

I checked configurations again. I can open Help Web page. But don't focus correct page (for each field).

I also install on separate server.

check your setup on help server whether you have given correct Path , Ports

probably this may the issue ,

also try to install on same server and check

Hi Nam,

Unfortunately, the installer doesn't pick up all files for the Dynamics NAV 2017 Help Server. We blogged about this here: blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../dynamics-nav-and-help-a-new-world

You can use the Dynamics NAV 2016 Help files, or you can get the HTML files where we enabled redirection from specific page objects to specific Help Server topics here: github.com/.../pages

This link goes to our public GitHub repo (English only), but the HTML files in the pages subfolder will work for any language.

I hope this unblocks you.
