Unable to release items

Hello,

I've uploaded a list of items via DIXF.

I'm able to see my items created in the product list (CHS/Product information management/Common/Products/Products)

When go to create a sales order, I'm unable to see the items I just created. I thought it was because I didn't release the product for a specific legal entity.

So I went back to my product list and tried to release them.

When I click on release product, I get an error message mentioning: "One or more products cannot be released. Validate open product releases in the Open product releases form to identify the reason, and try again"

Then when I go to Open product - I get an error message mentioning: "Field "item number" must be filled in"...

This is where I'm not able to move on. What is the issue? Where should I be looking?

The item has not been correctly imported, or some information is missing. You would have to have a developer look at the issue to find out what value or record is missing through debugging.

In the created products list what is the item number?

What tables were populated as part of your entity import?

Hi Mireille,

There must be some missing values in your master data.

I have shared a sample file I used in the link below, You can compare your values with it:

Import Product Masters

When you find out the missing values, you can delete your non-released items and import with correct file.

i suggest to create item manual from products and try to release it .

if you face the same issue then you need to debug this issue

else your upload is not correct as experts said

It works fine when I create a product front end. But when I create a product front end, I do not get to pick the "number" it is generated automatically.

It looks like the item number should be derived from the DISPLAYPRODUCTNUMBER uploaded via DIXF.
