If you want to rollback your changes you have two option, if you have backup of your solution before changing entity name, you can reinstall it and your changes will go, if you don't have that then you can do the same thing to rollback your changes from entity (rename back to old name).

After that updated solution can be taken to production and it will be applied there as well (in case you have used unmanaged solution), but if you have install managed solution you can delete it from production and it will remove your changes.

    Thanks

hi mahen thanks for ur answer i am having another doubt what is the difference between  changing display name of an entity at customization and at sitemap editor and if we want to roll back the changes is it better to export as managed solution to production. and will there be no changes in production after changing display name as i can see views of this particular entity has also changed

    Hi Sudheer,

There won't be any changes in relationship as you have just changed entity display name, you can create a custom solution can include your custom entity in that solution, also make sure to include any other related items which is not available in target system otherwise import will fail. If you are doing this development for your organization only you can simply take unmanaged solution to production, but if you are an ISV you can take managed solution to production.

You can get more details for solution here: msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg334576.aspx;MSPPError=-2147217396

Let me know if you have any other question.

    Thanks
