Dynamics SL 2018 and MS SQL Server 2019

SQL 2019 has recently been released. I've a client who will be upgrading to SL 2018 in the next couple of months. Since they are responsible for upgrading the SQL Server (didn't purchase the run-time,) their IT provider has asked if SL 2018 will work with the latest version of SQL.

I looked at the System Requirements documentation yesterday (fresh download from PartnerSource,) and it doesn't mention SQL 2019. A quick Google search also failed to uncover any concrete answer. Has anyone seen an answer to this from Microsoft? Or perhaps (doubtful) tried it yourself?

    There are no concrete answers because SL 2018 has not been tested with SQL 2019 as that was released after SL 2018.  Any platform not listed in the system requirements documentation has not and most likely will not be tested by MSFT.  

    That being said, I do not see any reason why it would not work as I have looked through SQL 2019 summary of changes and do not see anything significant with regard to how SL communicates with SQL.

    So, to use SQL 2019, you would have to thoroughly test the upgrade yourselves and if anything arises, contact MSFT directly for a resolution/bug.
