GP Web Utility Unexpected Error

(0) ShareShare

We've had this twice now and can't seem to figure out the cause.  Googling it turns up some suggestion about the GP Session Central Service but that is running along with all our other services and the IIS Application pools.  The issue is that when a user logs into our GP web utility they get the following error:

Unexpected Error

An unexpected error has occurred. Press the Sign-in button to reconnect to the application.
Correlation ID: 9cf24ace-9875-4d0c-a09c-b8e4bf2504bd

Any advice would be appreciated!  Thanks

    hi,

i assume you talk about a web application developed by you using some webservices. if so, the error means that there is a problem with an assembly having a public key/guid 9cf24ace-9875-4d0c-a09c-b8e4bf2504bd. Maybe an exception handling is missing.

Go the event viewer and check is there any brief error messages about the same and also check the below link as well.

    Hope this helps!!!

Did you find anything in the event viewer to help narrow down the cause of the issue. This error can be caused by a number of things, but a few things too look at would be.

    1. Did you use a domain account to run the Session Central and Session Services?

    2. Did you setup a domain security group to allow users to allow users access to web client during the installation?

    3. Make sure that your Web Client Group is not to many levels down in your OU.  This can cause the web client not to see the group causing this error.
