We have just performed an upgrade to CRM 2016 on premise with users getting Office 365 followed by the CRM 2016 outlook client.
A number of users, but not all, can see entity records in Outlook but when they right click them there is no 'edit' option but more importantly double clicking on the record does nothing. The record does not open .
Was able to reproduce if the reading pane was turned on though I'm not sure users have this enabled on their Outlook clients at this time.
